Sampling along the Mediterranean Iberian coast has led to the discovery of additional specimens of Neocnus incubans and Ophiopsila guineensis (two echinoderms known mostly from the North Atlantic) and of three specimens of the subspecies Ypsilothuria bitentaculata attenuata whose occurrence in the Mediterranean was never reported before. This confirms the biogeographic uniformity and the lack of real borders between the northeast Atlantic area and the Mediterranean Sea.
